MODEL A100
The FJORD AUDIO A100 is a reference phono amplifier designed to precisely amplify the delicate musical signals contained in analog records. With ultra-low noise design, high-output analog circuitry, and support for multiple EQ curves, it reproduces the rich musical information of vinyl records with greater accuracy and depth.
Typical phono amplifiers suffer from inherent limitations such as hum and noise generated during low-level signal amplification, restricted dynamic range, and low output levels. The A100 is engineered to overcome these challenges through an ultra-low-noise circuit design, high-output signal architecture, and precise EQ curve support. This minimizes common sources of sound degradation in record playback while maximizing the musical potential of analog sources.

TECHNOLOGY
Hum Suppression and Low-Noise Design
Because the output of a phono cartridge is extremely small, noise suppression is critical. The A100 achieves a high signal-to-noise ratio of 92 dB, effectively reducing hum and noise commonly associated with phono amplifiers. This results in a quieter background, allowing finer musical details and spatial information to emerge more clearly.
5V Output Design
A Digital-Level Output StandardA 5V output level—equivalent to digital—that no phono amplifier has achieved until now.The FJORD AUDIO A100 delivers a high balanced output of up to 5V—comparable to digital source levels. This overcomes the low-gain output limitations typical of conventional phono amplifiers, ensuring sufficient signal level when connected to preamplifiers or integrated amplifiers, and enabling more stable system matching.
Dynamic Sound Beyond the Limits of Phono
AmplifiersThe A100 is designed to maximize dynamic range, surpassing what has traditionally been considered a limitation of analog phono systems. It naturally expresses both subtle musical signals and powerful dynamics, delivering the full scale and energy inherent in vinyl (LP) recordings.
Support for 4 EQ Curves
The A100 supports four EQ curves, including the standard RIAA curve. Many records produced before the RIAA standard used different equalization characteristics. The A100 allows users to select from multiple EQ curves, enabling playback that more accurately reflects the original recording. It is particularly optimized for classic labels such as Decca ffrr, BBC, HMV, Mercury, and RCA Victor.

UTS (Upper Tube Set) Design
UTS minimizes harmonic noise and external vibration by mounting the tubes in an inverted position and using a dedicated tube ring structure. The tubes are securely fixed within a thick duralumin framework, resulting in lower noise and improved signal-to-noise ratio.
64-Step Precision Attenuator Gain Control
The A100 features a 64-step precision attenuator for gain control in the final stage. This allows fine adjustments to match various cartridges and source environments, ensuring optimal balance and performance.
